LoRa-MESH Smart Street Light Solution – Wireless IoT Lighting Control System

Short Description:

Lora-Mesh solution smart street light is consisting of centralized controller and single lamp controller. And the lamp controller is linked with the Led driver of the street light. Then communicate with RTU centralized controller by Lora, so as to realize the centralized control of the street light by Bosun SCCS system. Helping to improve the energy saving, increase public safety and security.

Gebosun® LoRa-MESH Smart Street Light Solution

Optimize urban lighting with Gebosun's LoRa-MESH Solution. Features self-healing wireless networks, NEMA controllers, and centralized management. Perfect for smart city requiring reliable coverage without complex wiring.

Gebosun LoRa-MESH Smart Lighting Solution Core Hardware Kit

    Key Features & Advantages

Self-Healing MESH Network: If one node fails, the signal automatically reroutes through other controllers, ensuring 99.9% communication reliability.

Cost-Effective Wireless: Unlike cellular solutions, LoRa-MESH uses free ISM bands (2.4GHz/915MHz/868MHz/470MHz), significantly reducing ongoing operational costs.

Long-Range Communication: Supports point-to-point transmission up to 3 km in city areas, with extended range via multi-hop mesh networking.

Plug & Play Controllers: Features standard NEMA 7-PIN interfaces for easy installation on existing LED fixtures.

    Success Story: Philippines Government Project

In May 2020, Gebosun successfully deployed the LoRa-MESH solution for a major government project in the Philippines. The system provided centralized control over thousands of street lights, delivering real-time energy reporting and significant maintenance savings, proving the technology's stability in tropical climates.

FAQs About LoRa-MESH Smart Street Lighting Solution

What is LoRa-MESH and how does it differ from standard LoRaWAN?
LoRa-MESH allows street light controllers to talk to each other (peer-to-peer) and relay signals, creating a robust web of connectivity. Standard LoRaWAN typically requires every device to talk directly to a central gateway (star topology). Our MESH architecture extends coverage range significantly and eliminates "dead zones" in complex urban environments.

What is the communication distance between street lights?
In a point-to-point scenario, the distance can reach up to 3 km in open city areas. However, because it is a MESH network, the total network coverage can be vastly larger as signals hop from one lamp to the next to reach the Centralized Controller.

Does the system work if the internet goes down?
Yes. The Centralized Controller (BS-SL82000CLR) has local storage and an RTC (Real-Time Clock). It saves the lighting strategies (e.g., dimming schedules). Even if the 4G/Ethernet connection to the server is lost, the street lights will continue to operate automatically according to the last saved plan.

Can I control individual lights or do I have to control them in groups?
You can do both. The SCCS Platform allows you to control single lamps individually (for maintenance or specific needs) or group them (e.g., "Main Street Group," "Park Zone A") for bulk management and synchronized dimming strategies.

What frequency bands does the Gebosun LoRa-MESH system support?
The system supports multiple global ISM bands to comply with local regulations, including 2.4GHz, 915MHz (US/AU), 868MHz (EU), and 470MHz (CN). Please specify your region when ordering so we can configure the correct module.
